Gliding casually downward, retreating from the line of dark trees, Xaden observed his surroundings with a cool air about him. Most wolves would howl to get acceptance, but he didn't quite feel like alerting any others to his presence at the moment, even if he was trespassing. If he was caught by any pack members he could probably just play nice and hope to be forgiven. Xaden grimaced at the thought of sucking up, contorting his already scarred visage. Hopefully, just perhaps, he could remain unnoticed for a bit longer, but was now beginning to truly doubt it. If the wolves in the pack were daft, he'd have no reason to join them, after all.
Bringing one large-clawed paw onto a clump of underbrush that had not yet yielded to the snow, he was surprised to see a hare dart out, and raised his brows in amusement. Prey was becoming increasingly hard to find now that the winter months were upon them, and Xaden hadn't had much luck when he tried seeking them out. But instead he let the little rabbit run along, though his tongue was caressing his fangs in a hungered fashion. If he had tried to take prey from the other pack might as well be his last mistake. So far he hadn't done anything to make himself suspicious, excluding being in the middle of their territory without permission, obviously.
Shifting his attention to the trees, he noticed the last of the sun's rays were beginning to wane, so that only a few small streaks of light broke through the gnarled, empty branches. With a sigh he turned his attention to his pads, highlighted in the snow, and began to lick at some wounds he'd acquired in his travel. His tassel, sparsely furred and torn up, began to flick tediously out behind him as he hoisted himself up atop his long pillars and looked around once again, making sure he wasn't being watched. He couldn't see why they'd want to watch him; he wasn't very interesting after all, but he probably did look suspicious, a wolf with fucked up eyes, and torn to shreds to boot, resting lazily in a clearing at sunset. Something was bound to look weird. A faint smile tugged at his lips at the thought of it, and he reclined back down onto dark-hued haunches.
00c: I had OOC permission from Toorima that I didn't have to post at the borders, unless of course I misunderstood and I'm being a dumb idiot. And don't mind Xaden, he's just a big jerk.

Since the RPer who had adopted Akisu from me, had to quit, I'm RPing her until I find someone else. ^^
There really wasn't anything here; The winter had killed of a great deal of the surroundings. The trees, the deciduous ones at least, had lost their leaves and were nothing but carcasses of the beauty that was once there. Coniferous ones still lived, but they weren't all to exciting, atleast she didn't think so. Well, things should all come rolling back when the damn snowed receded back to the mountain tops where it belonged and the weather became warm again. Although she was just under a year old, she could remember the warmer months, when she was just a mere little bantling hopping around in the flowers and rolling around in the grasses, happy just to be alive. Unfortunately, life wasn't always so easy...
Having slunk her way away from that area near the borders, the place that reeked of blood and wolves she'd never smelt before, she was cautious, a lot more than normal. She'd seen her mom there, chattering on about something and sort of fighting with a black male then moving onto a larger, tri-colored one who looked important. After Toorima and that male took off through the woods, followed by a few subordinates, she turned and went the other way. Her mother's pack had a lot more living wolves on their side so they could handle that. Really, her true motive was not to be slaughtered, but, she figured she'd sneak off and make sure no other bad wolves slipped past the borders while everyone was at that 'fight'. Hopefully, her search would be in vain because she herself, alone could not handle fighting off an adult wolf.
Rich emerald pools scanned across the spread of bland landscape before her. It was getting dark, probably not too safe, especially with all those wolves whom her mother displayed such hatred towards. Frankly, the little black and silver vixen understood very little still, and just choose to go with the flow of things, atleast until she figured out the lay of the land and how her dam ran things around here. Suddenly, she stopped dead in her tracks. There was another wolf here, and he was close. She'd let her guard down for a split second and came across this. Meekly, she lifted her snout a little higher, testing the air. The nearby brute did not smell familiar, it wasn't Kyler or either of those males that were with her mother most of the time, or even one of the brutes who'd been at the fight. Uh oh...
Dropping her long legged and still very adolescent frame closer to the ground, she hesitated. That male, which she could now see through the spaces in the mostly dormant brush, looked tough, torn up and most likely been fighting. He was larger than she, but that was a given, most adult wolves were, and if they weren't, something was wrong with them. Akisu was still in that awkward stage of growth, long limbs and small frame, things hadn't completely decided to fix together yet. But give her time, she was still a growing gal! Pricking her lobes forward, she listened, wondering if he was an enemy wolf and if there were more. Nothing. If there were more, they were very sneaky.
Swallowing, she gathered up her courage and stood her full height and tried to casually walk closer to him, possibly talk to him and see what he was, a subordinate, a nomad, or an enemy wolf. If he was an enemy to the Yamamori, she'd just play the 'sweet and innocent' act and hope that he wouldn't maul a young wolfess such as herself. Keeping her distance, she simply said "Hello." not having the faintest idea how to handle this.

00c: I feel a crappy post coming on...
Xaden didn't need to look around. Within a few moments he could tell that he wasn't alone in this clearing. With an aggravated growl he looked at his paws, determined no to let the other know that her hiding spot hadn't yet been found. Where was the fun in saying 'Come out, I see you."? Looking down at his dark-hued mitts he noticed that he could easily be spotted. Black on white wasn't hard to see, not even for the colorblind. Hauling himself up upon scarred pistons he gazed around for a moment, visionaries resting for a moment on a young femme, before his gaze glided off, leaving her to think he was clueless. No wonder he could hear her, she was young, probably needed some more work on stalking. Or perhaps, like he'd thought before, she wasn't daft at all and knew exactly what he was up to.
His visage stretched into a frown as he thought about what he'd say if his little game dragged on and she still didn't know what was going on. If he at least got into the trees he could blend in well. The whelp had a silver underbelly, one that wouldn't blend well with the tree's shadows. Xaden had some silver when his pelt lightened for summer, but this was certainly not the season. He was the dark shade of night in the cold season, with his ridge being a sorrel hue. With a yawn that showed alabaster canines highlighted by a crimson backdrop, he stopped deciding it wasn't best to go around scaring whelps from packs he didn't know. Drifting back over to his spot in the clearing, showing easily by the dent in the snow, he reclined back down upon dark-hued haunches, and at this moment the femora finally showed herself, and called out a feeble Hello.
Salutations, he called out in response, his voice low. He laughed to himself as she tried standing up to her full height, but still remained looking terrified. He gave a sigh, but was clearly amused. "And what might your name be, little vixen?" He had to bite down onto his tongue to avoid adding something offensive, but was still tempted to do so. He was in a bad mood, after all. He looked at the fae, brow raised in a cynical fashion, awaiting her answer.
00c: Yep, Crap post. I don't think I power played. If I did, pester me.

=shrug=
Well, he hadn't turned an attacked her yet, guess that was a good thing. The brute'd said a mere "Salutatuions." and her lobes fell forward upon hearing his tones. They were cold and bland, maybe a little bit angry but that was about it. Maybe he wasn't an enemy afterall, maybe just a wolf who was roaming around the territory. Really, now that she was a bit closer to him, he didn't really smell all that similar to the wolves who were fighting, nor did he smell of Yamamori. He was just uncategorized, or atleast he was to her anyway. But, she didn't even pick up any scents of pack wolves on him, so possibly he wasn't an already set pack member.
The little femme had managed to move herself a little bit closer to the brute, still cautious but feeling a bit better about not having to fight this guy. Anyway, if he did pull an attack, a good number of Yamamori were not too far from here, over closer to the borders fighting or something. She had long legs and could atleast try to make herself a swift getaway. Maybe her mom was still there, glaring down that large, tri-colored male and she could save her. Blah, that wasn't very good, not being able to protect yourself and thinking of having your mom save you. Nope, enough of that crap. She had to learn all on her own, she was old enough, old enough to figure it out all on her own. It was just weird, knowing that you had a mother to depend on, not a foster parent. Sure it was fine, but it wasn't like knowing of your real mother. It was just better.
"And what might your name be, little vixen?" More words, at least she could reply to these and not just stand there looking ridiculous. For a moment, she thought he was going to say more, but he didn't. Hmm. "Akisu, and may I have your name?" she said, letting a bit of a smile slip onto her features. "I'm not of any major importance or anything, well, unless "Alphess' daughter" counts as anything huge, but I was just curious as to what you're doing. I'm not like..'weird stalker wolf' or anything." Akisu sputtered through her words, biting her tongue to shut herself up. She was sort of new to this pack life stuff and didn't know if this male'd get pissed because she'd just snuck out of nowhere and started 'conversing' with him. This was a learning experience, much different from Kyler and Akia, they didn't look so threatening..eep.

Xaden noticed the younger fae looked nervous, so he lay down on the snow to look less threatening, plume sweeping up loose flakes of snow. After all, since he finally met someone he wouldn't want to scare them off, now would he? He noticed that she was starting to drift a little closer, and his torn aud flicked backward involuntarily. "Akisu, and may I have your name?" Good. Now at least he could stop thinking of her as 'the whelp'. He paused for a moment, then raised his shoulder in a shrug and replied. Xaden. He gave another yawn, then added in a tired drawl, Nice to meet you, Akisu."I'm not of any major importance or anything, well, unless "Alphess' daughter" counts as anything huge, but I was just curious as to what you're doing. I'm not like..'weird stalker wolf' or anything." Xaden laughed, then got up to his feet. Well that's a good thing. Alphess' daughter, huh? Then you know how I can get into the pack? That is what I'm here for, after all.
He strode up to the other wolf, posture as non-threatening as possible without embarrassing himself. What's the pack like, anyway? he asked, tone vacant of expression like usual. It was at least good to know what he was getting himself into. He hadn't really been around other wolves too often, save when he was being sent to kill them. But at least he knew how to be charming, if the time came. His gaze shifted over to Akisu, and he wondered if right now he seemed like he was sucking up. He looked up at the tree's branches, and noticed that night had now fully enveloped the clearing. His metallic-hued optic shone like a beacon compared against his black frame, while the dark chartreuse one gave off a dull glow against the moon's rays.
00c: I have a real bad case of writer's block right now. *pounds skull* But I'll do better tomorrow, I swear.

heh
When the dark male lied down, she mentally sighed. That little gesture of his made her feel much more comfortable. Her rich emerald eyes didn't leave him, and while he was reclining, she noticed his eye, his eye that wasn't normal. It was kind of like her mom's, but yet it was different. She tried not to stare..too much anyway. Wonder how he got it? Toorima's was easy, it was when she was fighting, with Orin, Akisu's sire. He just about ripped her face off, and in recent times, when she was back with her mother, she'd found she'd become a bit head-shy from that. Wonder if Xaden was like that? Wonder if his was relatively new or an old wound? Her dam's was relatively recent, early fall correct? Yeah, it was when she'd just scampered away from Lani on some hair-brained quest to find her parents, a large black femme with flaxen orbs and a menacing steel-grey one with green eyes. When she'd found them, they were ripping each other to shreds, a sight that scared her out of her mind. Seeing wolves rumored to be your own blood fighting like that wasn't very calming.
Well, now she knew this male's name and was almost certain he wasn't going to eat her for dinner. "Well that's a good thing. Alphess' daughter, huh? Then you know how I can get into the pack? That is what I'm here for, after all." So he was a rogue wanting in the pack. Technically he was already on the lands, at least she was pretty sure this was still Yamamori, did he know? Probably, he just didn't seem like the kind who'd obey border laws. She'd noticed he was back on his feet, but she felt better about it this time. Akisu sort of knew how he could get in, she could go dragging him to her mom or maybe another one of those males that were always with her. "What's the pack like, anyway?" Erm. How does she explain that one? She knew the basics, having only lived here for a few months. Well, born here, raised outside the territory for the most part but that didn't matter. "Well, I guess it's pretty good size, but I don't have anything to compare too so I'm not sure. Most of the wolves are pretty nice for the most part, I haven't met many of them but those I have are nice. Mom runs the show, there isn't an Alphen or even a Beta..I think that's what they'd be called, second in charge? But she has some males that are always with her, not sure what they are." Ramble ramble ramble! She questioned the Beta part because, well, she couldn't remember what that rank was called and such. Lani told her about stuff like that but that was a long time ago.
"Right now, most of the pack is off fighting, enemy pack I believe. That's why I'm here, roaming around." she added, just in case he asked where they were or something. Looking back at him, rich eyes watching him still, interested in hearing what he had to say to that.

00c: *pokes* Do you like the avvie? I have no psp or anything, so it looks a bit dull....

Right now, most of the pack is off fighting, enemy pack I believe. That's why I'm here, roaming around." Xaden stared intently at his mitts, absorbing all of Akisu's information. Pretty nice for the most part? At least I won't have to beat down every pup that tells me off. Assuming they're all Akisu's age. He looked the pup up and down, then asked in a curt tone. "So you aren' fighting?" He laid his auds back, then chuckled but tried to sound polite. "No real loss, no offense... But I suppose I shouldn't assume 'till I've seen you fight." He gave a nonchalant shrug.
He noticed after awhile that she was staring at his silver eye; he's slow to catch on. "From fighting," He laughed with his tone dreadfully blank. That's all he really needed to tell her, why would he need to go into detail for a wee pup? He sat there in silence for a while, before speaking up again in a bored manner. "So...I'm guessing you know how to get into the pack?" he repeated, as his tassel proceeded in swishing about in the snow, flicking tediously sided to side. Perhaps Akisu might wonder why a battle-scarred male would be so eager to meet her Alphess while they were locked in combat with another pack. He probably shouldn't seem so eager to meet Akisu's Ma. He gave an aggravated growl but muzzled it before it reached his throat. He'd scared Akisu enough before.
00c: Pathetically bad. Damned school, stealing all my brain power! If I ever had any... *sulks*
And it looks like I won't have that long post I promised. ^$#&$#!!!! Ah, well. I'll try to make a good post by the end of this topic...

Ah yush, school is the ultimate evil; Yay for angry avvies. XD I wish I had psp but I'm cheap and use a program that came with my scanner >>;
"So you aren' fighting?" She said silently for a moment. Nope she wasn't fighting. There'd only been a few enemy wolves and Yamamori canines were thick as flies. Anyway, she wasn't the best fighter in the world, and if she was, she didn't have the faintest idea, never having to fight a real fight before. Toorima might not've liked it if her newly re-discovered daughter was maimed by enemy wolves, she seemed pissed enough as it already was. "No real loss, no offense... But I suppose I shouldn't assume 'till I've seen you fight." She almost narrowed her eyes at him but didn't after she'd realized he was probably right. She didn't voice her opinions on that much, just shrugged, like he did. Maybe she was a good fighter, maybe not. She didn't know and neither did anyone else.
Harks slipped forward yet again. "From fighting," What? Oh yeah, his eye. She'd almost become oblivious of the fact that she was staring at it. Same as Toorima's. She didn't mention that part, yet anyway. "So...I'm guessing you know how to get into the pack?" Well, sure, she could probably send him to Toorima after the fight and say that she'd let him in, that he was 'okay'. Although he looked a bit gruff, he didn't go mauling her so he was fine. That had been the part she'd been most worried about. Finally, she decided to talk. "Yeah, I could take you to Mom, or if you find her on your own, you could just tell her I sent you. She couldn't get too mad if she knew I'd seen you. Really, she isn't too hard to miss around here, black and two different colored eyes like you. Her bad eye was from fighting too." Again, she found herself clamping her jabbering jaws shut. Maybe her mom wouldn't want her telling all sorts of stuff. Really, she could go on and on for hours, but had to force herself to refrain.

Xaden licked at his blue-black claws nonchalantly as Akisu answered. "Yeah, I could take you to Mom, or if you find her on your own, you could just tell her I sent you. She couldn't get too mad if she knew I'd seen you. Really, she isn't too hard to miss around here, black and two different colored eyes like you. Her bad eye was from fighting too." Huh. Not too mad? That didn't sound convincing. Well, not that he was scared! He gave a small laugh at this, but doubted it was audible to Akisu. So the little pup's mom was bi-eyed, too? Oooh, goody. Friends. And from fighting as well? Neat-o. Xaden was an assassin, er - ex-assassin, so he was bound to get some scrapes, especially on the face. But an alpha female? He wondered what would have caused it.
Drawing back his attention he straightened himself up, shook the sleepiness of himself. "I think it'd be better if you lead the way. I've got a bad sense of direction anyway." he lied. But still, too mad didn't sound convincing when when you have a 'pretty good size' pack backing you up.

-snatches crispy long posts out of the fire- nuuu~ XDD
Xaden didn't seem too sold on what she'd just said. Really, she much rather would've sent him on his way, get her out of his vicinity. She had provided him with a description of her, hoping that he'd just go on the hunt for her alone. Eee. "I think it'd be better if you lead the way. I've got a bad sense of direction anyway." Joy. Oh well, it wasn't like she had anything better to do. Her options were lead this slightly scary male around or go stroll her way into the battle looking for that mother of her's alone. Well, if she led Xaden there, maybe there'd be a chance she wouldn't be mauled. But, one problem, where was she supposed to take this male? The femme sat there for a moment, contemplating while trying not to look to dumbfounded and stupid.
"Uh, alright." she said as she slowly rose to her feet, emerald eyes watching the male. Honestly, she didn't know where to go. One option was to either go back to where she'd came from, or try to pick up the trail of her mother and the tri-colored male. Either way was just..'eee'.
Well, that post is saved from the flames >< Soo, where is it you want her to lead to? Dhjeron'd like the Ryu. thread left to just Toorima..then there's the other thread with a bunch of dead/dying wolves lying around XDD

I don't really mind where she leads, as long as it doesn't bother you too much, since you're in 4 or so threads already. Besides, you're Admin, you can pick. ;D
