Yeh, a pack hunt deal. Hopefully we'll hand out some hunter ranks here..woo. If you are in the warrior training thread deal, you can still go ahead and post here if you'd like but you can't, by chance, get both warrior and hunter ranking. Let's just see what happens...
Toorima slowly trotted towards the hunting grounds. Her stomach growled, anticipating the possibility of an upcoming meal. Guess it was understandable, she was eating for more than one now and had been slacking on the eating in general lately, having thrown up a good amount of smaller food before. That was terrible. Well, now seemed like a good time to eat well since she did feel a bit better about being able to keep the food down now. Besides, Yamamori needed to have a pack hunt and now seemed like the best time. She really wasn't sure how much longer she'd be able to continue roaming around, soon, she would be den-bound and more miserable than ever.
Akki had drug off some possible warriors, trained them and possibly given out some warrior ranks. The same thing needed to be done for hunters, since the pack had no official ones. Sure, she was sort of scrambling to get some official organization in this pack. Everything, or atleast a good portion of it, needed done before these pups were born. A few had darted off to vie for a warrior ranks, hopefully some would show up for this and possibly earn hunter. Of course, there were others like Kyler who would probably be best suited as something along the lines of Iada, just because he was so caring. She didn't know of his 'medical skills' but knew for sure he was caring and always willing to look out for someone else.
Taking a look around, standing on the edge of the empty field where the large game animals usually roamed, she surveyed the area. The scent of game was present, but she didn't see any right away. Then again, she was half blind and there were hills so just because she didn't see any, definitely did not mean there weren't any. Glancing behind her, to see if Koani or Akisu had followed her, she visually browsed through the trees and brush, hoping they hadn't fallen too far behind. For now, she didn't howl, just not yet. There really wasn't a massive hurry so the Alphess did not rush anything that wasn't needed.
Content with her quick surveillance, she laid herself down in the grasses. They weren't too tall, but had enough height to partially hide her black bodice. The femme heaved a sigh, taking in the rich scent of the grass. For a few moments, she just remained there, splayed out on the edge of the hunting field, enjoying the relative silence. Soon, it wouldn't be so peaceful. After these pups were born, which was coming closer and closer with each passing day, things would liven up a bunch for her, whether she liked it or not. Slowly, thinking of them, she lifted her head, seeing her enlarged middle. Maybe she was finally starting to come to grips with this, just no where near fully accepting it yet. She had better figure everything out soon...

This is me forever One of the lost ones The one without a name Without an honest heart as compass
This is me forever One without a name These lines the last endeavour To find the missing lifeline
Ugh. It smelt like burnt fish and cinnamon. The ebony mascu disgustedly pushed the soggy heap of something away from him, and raised his dial, pale emerald voids scanning around the clearing for a few moments, before throwing another sour look at the heap, and padding away into the shadowy foliage. Whatever it was, its smell was nasty. Up above, past the looming canopy of pine trees, the sky was a dull murky grey. Typical, it should be nicer now it was spring. The flowers were kinda drooping, but at least their pretty colours brought the forest to life and the dullness out of everything. Yep, everything had been pretty boring, and even Rhapsody was feeling slightly miserable due to the bad weather. It would be nice if there was actually some sunshine. He shook the dew out of his sleek jet hide, scowling as he did so and continuing through the masses of trees, not trying anything to cheer himself up. What should he do, skip along and sing a song? Wow, lamely poetic. The mood was even sulkier as rain beat down apon his head, along with a couple of hailstones which stung the top of his head for a little while. Fed up and absoloutely drenched, he plodded over to a willow tree, hiding beside the trunk and shaking himself again to rid of the cold. And then, out of the rain and the hail, came the faintest scent of Toorima. His auds pricked forwards, mood changing. Why had she left her den? Had Kyler abandoned his post or something? Frowning, he emerged from under the tree, and bounded towards her, letting several tones slip out of his maw and into the air, alerting her of his approach. How was she? Was she alright? Rhapsody immediately scolded himself for thinking that; he shouldn't worry too much, she wasn't closely bonded to him - but she was his Alphess, of course he should worry. Ugh. Stuff like this got annoying when it was swirling around in his mind, refusing to go away. He leapt over a fallen log, landing lightly on the ground and continuing at a rapid pace. He was pretty fast and agile, so if there was a hunt going on, he could come into use. The treeline was almost in sight now, and he quickened his speed even more, desperate to be in company. The sparring wasn't doing much to help his social levels, and anyway, hunting would be good. The brute broke free of the trees and sprinted over in the direction of a black silhouette, like himself, panting slightly as he ran. As he came in earshot, he barked, "Toorima! I suppose you have escaped from your den? Is there a hunt going on?" He almost forgot to slow down, and hastily did so before he crashed into her. He skidded to a halt and sat down on his haunches beside her, giving a small half-hearted gentle nuzzle to her cheek, plume wagging cheerfully. In all this, he hadn't even noticed that the rain had stopped, and sunlight filtered through the clouds. The hessian's muzzle turned, and he eyed her side slightly disapprovingly, but stayed close to her, and lowered his bulk to the ground also.
"I daresay this will do me good. Akki's been watching our sparring progress... Poor Kiba, he accidently burst in and got a hard time from her."
He chuckled, and watched the horizon, waiting for any other wolves approaching, taking a deep breath through his nares and releasing it through his maw.
Oh how I wish For soothing rain All I wish is to dream again My loving heart Lost in the dark For hope I'd give my everything
My flower withered between the pages two and three The once and forever bloom gone with my sins Walk the dark path, sleep with angels Call the past for help Touch me with your love And reveal to me my true name
Oh how I wish For soothing rain Oh how I wish to dream again.

Kyler had, once again, taken a little nap in the denning area, thinking Toorima and the pup were doing the same. It had been storming outside the den, when he fell asleep, and so he saw no reason why Toorima would try to sneak out in this weather, feeling quite comfortable sleeping. The pounding of the rain had ceased some time later, and the sudden silence had been enough to wake Kyler from his nap. Smiling, he had opened his eyes to search out Toorima and the pup, but they were nowhere to be found and, frowning, he stood up. He would have to track her, again. She could not keep running off with those pups so close to being born! Did she not understand?
He trotted after her scent, though because the grass was wet, it was hard to follow, and sighed. Why did she have to keep evading him? Last time, she had encountered a couger she hated, and Kyler was confident that if he hadn't of been there, she would have probably gotten into a fight with that big cat. But, instead he had made a new friend, and at that thought, he laughed. Friends with a couger. Who would have thought? And he had seen a couger cub, as well. And not been at risk of harm, either. Amazing, in his mind.
Kyler rounded a hill, to see two black figures off in the distance, and his tail wagged. He had found Toorima! Hunting was not really on his mind, though he realized he was hungry. His paws, though mostly healed, did not allow him the speed he once had, speed he probably wouldn't ever regain, and so rabbits were a rare treat for him. Akia supplied him with food, however. He trotted up to both wolves, tail still wagging, and stopped in front of the laying form of Toorima, bowing, before turning to Rhaspody.
Upon realizing who this was, Kyler's tail drooped. The male had instructed Kyler to watch over Toorima, and here the alphess had been, alone, for how long he did not know. Kyler's ears slicked back against his head in an unspoken apology, before he turned his gaze back to Toorima. Rhapsody or no Rhapsody, Toorima needed to stop all this wandering. Sure, she could wander, but was it so hard to just wake him and tell him, so he could follow? Concern laced his face as he spoke.
Now, Toorima, it is for your own good that you tell me when you plan to go off and leave the dens. Your pups may come soon, and you need to protect them, alright?
Kyler did not nuzzle her. He was not that close to the alphess. She was his master, and though he did think her beautiful, he did not think she or Rhapsody would appreciate it. plus, he had Akia already, and he was very happy with her.

Toorima hadn't even noticed the approaching Rhapsody until she heard him making sounds. Only then did she slightly respond, barely moving her head. She chuffed a slight greeting to him as he roamed on over, nuzzling her slightly and saying first "Toorima! I suppose you have escaped from your den? Is there a hunt going on?" to which she nodded and said "Yeah, figured some a good meal wouldn't hurt..." It was slightly humorous, hearing 'escaped from her den', but it was true, she'd slipped away shortly after the rain stopped, slinking away as quiet as possible.
While beginning to pull herself into a sitting position, her body protested slightly, having taken to the laying there quite well, but she managed, and Rhapsody commented on his warrior training. "I daresay this will do me good. Akki's been watching our sparring progress... Poor Kiba, he accidentally burst in and got a hard time from her." Again, the femme nodded slightly, a little surprised to see that Akki hadn't eaten them yet, especially considering how angry she'd been. Poor Kiba too, blundering in on her and her warriors. He probably didn't mean any harm but this was Akki we were dealing with.
Something else caught her senses, now being slightly more alert than previously. Kyler. He had already moved into her range of vision and was heading this way. She saw the concern drizzled over his features, and splayed her own ears out to the sides. They all meant well, keeping her under watch, but the vixen was opposed to it. It frustrated her a bit at times too, always having someone watching out for her, thus the reason she often slipped away to meander. Toorima watched him for a moment, noting the silent statement he directed to Rhapsody, and she just sat there, half propped up with some of the dampness from the grasses clung to her fur, especially the side that she had laid on.
"Now, Toorima, it is for your own good that you tell me when you plan to go off and leave the dens. Your pups may come soon, and you need to protect them, alright?" Again, she slid her ears back, like a scolded pup and partially nodded, not really in the mood for a full blown retort, so instead just decided to listen, like an obedient little dog. "Sure." she muttered. "This'll probably one of the last times I slink out anyway..." the czaress said quietly, drawling out at the end, knowing good and well that before much longer, there wasn't going to be any leaving the den at all.

K I'm dead. really dead. so forgive me. i have like 2349867984963 other thrreads so it's death x.x
Koani, who had been asleep with Kyler at the dens, had followed him to Toorima. Kyler had awoken, startling Koani a bit, and trailed off after Toorima. The pup was much too young to understand all the reasons why the alphess needed to stay at her den, but he was sure she was geting really fat. He dared not say this aloud. But he had to admit, when he saw her she was quite 'obese' compared with the usual stuff.
Toorma. He gleamed, still not getting her name correct. No one really had bothered to correct him, and he liked 'Toorma' anyways. Back there he'd pretty much dragged himself with Kyler's tail; he didn't want to get left behind. Something exciting was about to happen. Not really paying attention though, he only heard the word 'hunt' which meant food. Koani loved to wait after the hunts and then lick everyone's snout begging for food. They always gave him some, usually anyways.
He wanted to rush out onto the field right now and catch a big juicy elk, but of course, that was impossible. So he stayed put. Soon he began to fidget with his paws, shuffling them and pawing at the grass a bit. Toorma--e couldn't help it.--You real fat. He had no other way to say it. There was not a word in his vocabulary that he could have used besides 'fat' which is course one of the worstr things he could've said.

Kiba shot out of the bushes, panting rather hard. His auds were drooped and his tassel was held low. I got out alive, right? At least Akki didn't eat me... he sighed, yet as he seen Rhapsody and Toorima, Koani and Kyler, he smiled awkardly. Hello Rhapsody, Kyler, and er...Koani right? he said, trying to make the best of things. Still shaking, he padded to Toorima. I had caught a hawk for you and the rest of the pack, but Akki tore it to shreds. As if it wasn't dead enough... he said, and bowed a 'sorry' to Toorima and the rest of them. He looked like he was just shot out of a cannon and sent flying a gazillion miles and landed in a bear fight. Eh, Kiba was on the edge of collasping.
