Sorshin slunk low to the ground, belly close to the stubby growths of grass that were just starting to shoot up. Not for a second did his blue eyes leave his prey, remaining fixed on the large hare. The winter snows had probably been excellent for hiding the hare but now that spring had arrived its white fur stood out against the landscape. Sorshin’s peppered fur hid his body well and he remained unnoticed by the hare as he crept forward.
It had been days since Sorshin ate, the rocky terrain he had been traveling over had had very little of anything edible. Through his fur, which was usually thick and wavy, his ribs could be seen slightly. His mouth watered as he breathed in the hare’s scent. The animal wasn’t large, but it would do as a nice meal.
Finally close enough Sorshin leapt into the air. The hare raised its head as his shadow fell over it, to late it realized its danger. He landed as it turned to flee, his jaws clamping around its neck and biting down. His fangs sank into the flesh and he heard the snap of bones as they crunched on the hare’s spine.
He let the dead hare fall from his jaws and licked his lips, savoring the first taste of meat he’d had in what seemed like forever. He lowered his head back down to his meal and began tearing chunks off and gulping them down without chewing. The red blood stained his muzzle, as well as the shredded remains of the hare’s pelt.
When all that was left of the hare was its bones Sorshin trotted a ways away. He lay down in the grass, cleaning his muzzle and stretching lazily. He closed his eyes, now that he was in no immediate danger of starving he could nap a little. He dozed off, letting the still silence of the clearing lull him into a peaceful slumber. Not once did he worry that there might be other wolves around.
((OOC: anyone who want to play with me can..um yeah...*brain slow, Math is evil*))
