The fae trotted casually towards the borders, her auds pricked forwards intently, plume bobbing contentedly. Her eyes flicked back and forth, searching for a canine figure through the trees. So, what would Yamamori be like? Fun? Boring? Strange? The thought was revolving around her head at the minute, teasing her like a child with a dog, tempting it with a treat. Only she wouldn't exactly get a treat for thinking, now would she? Dial raised, and voids examined the dull grey sky for a few moments, before they both settled back into their usual position. Where was Toorima, then....? She halted at the edge of a carefully-marked boundary, and llifted her crania once again to let out a sing-song howl, that seemed to echo through the air before fading away. She listened to it, then sank down onto her haunches, waiting for the Alphena to appear.
"Come then, Toorima. I would be honoured to join your pack."

Lazily she poked along, scents were all over the place, strong ones too. But, then again, the borders always held a menagerie of smells, ones from Yamamori, ones from neighboring packs, and the constant smell of vagabond wolves. One set itself apart from all the others, stood tall among the endless mass of wolven scents. It seemed to be..vauguely familiar, like something from years ago. Interests peaked, she decided to seek it out.
The definitive call of a pack-seeking wolf. A howl carried itself across the atmosphere. It too, like the scent, sounded almost familiar. Still, she slunk along through the ice dusted foliage. Casually, the vixen flicked her tail upward just a bit, just as a precaution, incase her suspicions were false and this was just a wolf who's scent reminded her of someone else's. Finally, within a few moments, it all materialized into view. A silver and creamy toned female, kind of short in build but not skimpy. It looked like Sinistra, smelled like Sinistra...then it must be Sinistra. It just had to be.
"Sinistra." she said calmly, just to see if she'd get a reaction out of the femme. Wolves usually respond to their own name. "It's been a long time." she added, smiling a bit, now certain it was the wolf from way back home. While the ebony Alphess was approaching, she'd heard, from a distance of course, "Come then, Toorima. I would be honored to join your pack." That statement told her, told her that Sinistra wanted to live here. No further inquires for the time being, just waiting for a response. It seemed like all those who she once held dear were coming back. First Akisu, now Sinistra...where was Kyuushi? He was the last one, the last living one anyway...

The vixen turned her dial, auds perked in case Toorima should answer. So, where was her sister? The ebon fae that she had grown so close to during puphood, and then she deserted her altogether? A burning anger began to rage inside her, her memories fading back to her beautiful pups, and the horrible massacre that had happened to her twin daughters. Light brown voids narrowed slightly, and she ruffled her silver-grey pelt in an impatient manner, still alert for any sounds of her sibling approaching. Ha, she could hear a battle raging from the very spot she stood. Lots of cries of pain, and lots of bloodshed... it felt too much, though a part of her felt as if she'd like to kick their mangy butts.
A twig snapping brought her attention back, and she whirled to see the very same raven-hued vixen from all those years ago. A small smile creased her kissers, but then it faded away. She looked slightly odd now; not the gangly pup she had remembered, but a large, rather attractive faetale, with intense emerald optics that appeared to gleam at her in the early sun. "Sinistra. It's been a long time."So it had, indeed. Her lower jaw trembled slightly, but she clenched it firmly, and replied stiffly.
"It has indeed, sister. She paused for a few moments, thinking back to when she had been a pup herself. She had watched the faint figures of her siblings and her father melt away into the horizon, and she had not seen them again after that. But here was Toorima now, alive and obviously well... "But, Toorima... Why did you and Kyuushi leave me? And where is our brother?" She wanted to know so much of what had happened after she disappeared, and she would not leave until hearing it. And boy, did Toorima know it.

She shifted her weight off to a random side, of course, the left side. If she were human, she'd certainly be left-handed because everything she does is preferred to be led with that side and her eye only salted the wound, actually giving her a reason to be so weird about the left side. Strange yeah but she'd been like that a long time. It was really odd seeing someone you hadn't seen in such a long time, seeing how they'd changed and could only imagine what Sin thought of her. Toorima had been the 'runty sibling', constantly protesting and struggling to keep up with Kyuushi's hasty pace. Sinistra had been in the middle of it all, discarded away for her appearance just like Toorima had been, but not quite as scrawny as the ebony femme had once been, the skimpy little runt who wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. Kyuushi was the Yomeninokarui picture of perfection. Too bad that pack buckled at the knees and fell apart.
Turning back, attentively, slowly drifting out of the realm of memories. "But, Toorima... Why did you and Kyuushi leave me? And where is our brother?" Eh, she didn't know how to really explain this one easily. Kyuushi wanted to get out of there and as far away from the crime scene as possible, and of course, Toorima followed like an obedient little sister. She'd tried to look for Sin but in all the chaos, her search was in vain and she scampered off with her brother. Mrr. "Eh, you know Kyu, he was in a rush to get out of there as quickly as he could. I tried to find you, but couldn't in all the haste. As for where he is now, I don't have any idea. I don't even know if he is still alive..." she said somberly. If he was alive, he was probably still with Kaizen but if he was no longer of this earth, the ebony Alphess would at least like to know. For now, she did not add any questions of her own, but instead waited to see if Sin had anything else to ask...she was almost certain she did.

Sinistra waited for Toorima to respond, and if human, she would've raised an eyebrow slightly. It seemed that the ebon vix had also gone into some weird flashback-thing, like she had done only a short while ago. At last, she snapped into the same universe, and answered pretty hastily to her question."Eh, you know Kyu, he was in a rush to get out of there as quickly as he could. I tried to find you, but couldn't in all the haste. As for where he is now, I don't have any idea. I don't even know if he is still alive..."That was no excuse.... She could've at least tried harder. The silver faetale pondered quietly over it for a few moments, before addressing her sister again, a stubborn look on her dial.
"So here you are, an Alphena of your own lands. I was an Alphena once, after I left the pack... but it all went wrong after that."
And so it had done. It had been pretty pear-shaped really - but that wasn't exactly the right way to describe it. In her mind she wondered why Toorima didn't come back and search for her after that - had she not been worried when she left with father and Kyuushi? She could've been killed, maybe got lost trying to run after them. Did she not care for her sister at all? Her lower jaw clenched tighter now, as she glared reproachfully at her sibling, voids narrowing slightly once more. Was it true? Did Toorima hate her or something?

uberly tired >>; She found herself with her gaze wanting to watch her feet, but forced herself not to be such a low being. She knew she probably should have tried to get Kyuushi to at least make an effort to look for Sin, but nope, she didn't do such a thing. The ebony Alphess did feel bad, but, she'd been so blind by the heat of the moment, it was just utter chaos. That seemed to be a trait that surfaced often with the Phantom Thief, getting all riled up, thinking all will be right the next day when the smoke clears, but instead, she ends up with a bigger mess than previously. She was very talented at making the messed but absolutely no idea of how to even begin to clean them up.
"So here you are, an Alphena of your own lands. I was an Alphena once, after I left the pack... but it all went wrong after that." Sinistra's words, they coursed through her being for a few seconds before a reply, trying to remain ignorant of the stubborn stare she was receiving from her sister. She'd said that it had went wrong for her too. Sighing quietly to herself, she wondered to herself what it'd been like for Sin while they're world's trekked different roads. "It wasn't all smooth sailing for myself either. I can only imagine what it was like for you, after we took off I mean, I'm sorry we high-tailed it like we did, there was no excuse for it." she said quietly, looking up with her two-toned eyes.

The silver femme watched Toorima, the annoyed expression still clear on her features, pretending to not be listening. However, her auds were still perked, waiting for what her sibling would say. Eventually her sister looked up from thinking or something, and she spoke quietly, her words holding a tone of unease."It wasn't all smooth sailing for myself either. I can only imagine what it was like for you, after we took off I mean, I'm sorry we high-tailed it like we did, there was no excuse for it."So, bad stuff had happened to her, too. But, at least she had apologised for her and Kyu legging it without her. Losing her stubborn mood, she shrugged.
"Well, it's over now, anyway. So... what happened after you and Kyu left?"
Yes, she was stating the obvious that she wouldn't leave till she got answers, yet again. But, if Toorima told her what had happened after running from the fight, then she would tell hers. It was only fair, she guessed that the ebon faetale would want to know what had happened to herself after that too. She slipped on a small cold smile, let it vanish, and waited lazily for the answer to the past that had not been unlocked. If there was a lock, there had to be a key for it.

Her gaze was beginning to want to wander, one of two antsy habits she'd developed over the passing of days. Wouldn't exactly call it a nervous habit, just a few things that she did when things could get any emotional extreme at any given moment. Her auds had been firmly set forward, interest at it's peak, wondering what Sinistra would say or ask next. It'd been a long while since they'd seen eachother and obviously had some catching up to do, or atleast, something like that. Slumping back into a seated position, she coiled her plume around the left haunch and slowly blinked a few times, thinking how to sum it all up into one, easy statement.
"Well, it's over now, anyway. So... what happened after you and Kyu left?" Well, how does one but a whole heaping of happenings into a quick summary. It had been rather eventful, to say the very least. After the fight, the pair ran for atleast a few days straight, Kyuushi constantly insisting that they get extremely far away. They roamed and roamed then roamed a little more, he got swept away by the allure of a female and Toorima just wandered on her own, then ended up on the Yamamori Lands. So, she just summarized the boring parts "We just wandered around like a couple of nothing rogues. We went our separate ways then I found this place, staked it as my own, then lived here. But, that was the easy part..."
She had no idea how to even begin to explain the next part of the story, the part that dealt with Orin and that whole fiasco. "After a while here, I found a male named Orin. A first he was perfect but a mental illness ate away at him, making him more of a monster than even I could handle. We did have pups, only one of which survived, Akisu, who is living here now again, after I had to give her away to a 'foster mother' for our own safety. It was to hide her from Orin, who planned to kill us both. Weeks later, after I was healthy again, I killed him, thus the reason for my nearly blind eye." she said, trying to not get so worked up or dive too far into the realms of details so not to be talking for three days. Urg. "I'm afraid that was only the surface, I couldn't even being to tell the whole story"

Yes, Toorima had indeed had some rough experiences too. But at least her daughter wasn't dead, and she had obviously wanted to get rid of this Orin character. Well, Kyu was clearly wandering around somewhere with his mate, and maybe pups, oblivious to where his sisters were. Well, if he tried looking harder, like he should of done when he left the pack with Toorima, then he might be able to find them. So now it was time to tell her sister what had happened to her quite briefly..
"A few days after you and Kyu left, I ran after you, trying to find you. I came across a large pack, and the Alphen seemed to take a shine to me. So I became the Alphena, and we had three pups. The male died after a month of some illness, so me and my two daughters were left. Only five months later did one of my daughters get killed by a hunter before me. I killed two of them, and the rest of the cowards ran off. But in all that commotion, my other daughter was mrdered too, by some males sent by my mate, the traitorous brute. I killed them all, and I moved on for a while till I came here."
The vixen's orbs were burning in anger as she retold all of this, her hide bristled, and once or twice, her lips curled into a small snarl. Even though these were only the highlights of her past, she was infuriated all the same by what had happened. Quivering, she glared down at her paws, breathing heavily as if she had only just suffered the shock.

muse = dead
Toorima found herself listening contentedly. She saw that telling about it hurt, just like talking of her own past happenings did to her. The bristled fur and the overall stance just screamed that she was not happy at all with her past. Well, maybe it had been somewhat similar, their pasts, between the fight and now, weren't overly different. Just like she had, Sinistra had found a male that started most of the disaster. They'd both had pups, although most of Toorima's died before they were even born, Sinistra's were killed before her eyes, which had to be just devastating. She couldn't even begin to fathom how terrible that had to have been. Just thinking about having Akisu murdered before her own eyes sort of pissed her off a bit. Well, atleast Sin had turned around and killed their murderers. Unfortunately, that was all she could've done. It definitely would've been exactly how she'd responded to it. "I'm sorry to hear about all that. Atleast things are starting to look up, for the both of us." she said, unable to fully express how she felt, she could only imagine what it'd be like to experience it all first hand.
Well, now, for the both of them, things were somewhat calm. Sinistra had come here, a place where Toorima would welcome her and if her pack objected, they'd all be receiving some swift kicks to the rear. And, the ebony Alphess on the other hand, just got her problems to simmer down a bit, with Orin dead and Akisu back, her only problem for now was the Guardian Forest wolves and Dhjeron. That was a piece of cake compared to what she'd dealt with in years before, or atleast, it looked that way now. Hopefully it wouldn't escalate to the extremes that all the others managed to reach.

OOC| Count yourself as lucky. My muse is non-existent. ^^
IC| The xanthippe fell silent, still bristled in an aggressive manner, her voids still blazing after retelling what had happened to herself during that period of time. It seemed like they had only just been killed, yes, like she had re-lived the moment. Now she knew that she would never place her trust in a male again. Even the nicest were untrustworthy to her; after all, her 'mate' had been before she found that he was a traitor. This mood was almost putting her in a trance so that she barely heard Toorima speak above the angry voices roaring an argument in her mind. At last she found the ability to talk again, her voice shaking slightly. Though she knew that her sister must had suffered too, why else would she have said that it was not all plain sailing for her?
"Shall... shall we go, then?"
The bruja watched the ebon Alphena hopefully, trying to regain her normal stance, flattening her fur and steadying her breathing. She wanted to get away now, not from Toorima, but just away from this particular area. She didn't want to remember anymore, she wanted to forget. And return to her normal butt-kicking self. Auds perked as she listened to the distant sounds of battle, and deep inside she felt the longing to join in. Hey, she hadn't kicked anyone's ass in a while, and she half felt up for the job. The vix stole a grin at her sibling, plume starting to wag contentedly.
"Toorima, you'd better tell those guys that I'm coming, cos I'm going to do some serious butt-kicking tonight."

Toorima rose to stand once again, stretching out one of her hind limbs in the process of rising to stand. She did not comment when she still saw the faint flickering of anger still on Sinistra's features. Just kept quiet until she could regain herself. It had definitely been a side of Sin she hadn't really seen much before, back when they were younger and things were simple compared to what they turned into. When the silvern toned czaress suggested that they go, the ebony wolfess nodded, agreeing with the question completely.
After Sin was back to the wolf that Toorima knew, she let a soft smile slip onto her features, plume wagging to and from a few times while she began to turn around. "Toorima, you'd better tell those guys that I'm coming, cos I'm going to do some serious butt-kicking tonight." The ebony lady laughed, Sinistra had been hearing the distant cries of battle and wanted in on it. Good, they would have no idea what hit them after Sin got there, it would certainly be interesting, to say the very least. Grinning, she said happily "Well, let's get goin'!" while turning to hop her way on into the depths of the packlands. She casually trotted off, slowly so that Sinistra could get going and catch up, then finally cantered her way into the heart of the pack, hoping to have Sinistra trailing closely.
