The lone wolf moved silently through the night, white coat catching the moon's rays.
He was exploring the borders, but not straying into the actual terra, rumour was it that there was a war waging between the Yamamori and some Guardian Forests...and it would just be so fun to be mistaken for an enemy now wouldn't it?
And so Fren, the white wolve's name, was keeping well out the way 'till the alphena, Toorima he had heard her name was, appeared.
Tilting his head to the silverish moon, he let out a long, mournful howl seeking to speak with the alpha, then finished and sat down, relaxing while he could.
((Sorry 'bout the crap post...writer's block, x 100 xD))

Akki had ventured from her old pack after killing her old mate. They had never really mated but she had fallen for him. Red blood stained her jaws from the male wolf and his other mate. They had run off together, probably to get away from Akki. A large gash ran down her right shoulder and she winced in pain as she walked. Her blazing yellow eyes met the new wolf's and she stepped carefully out of the trees. This wolf looked just like her, but he was male. She bowed her head, thinking he was a member of this pack. But then she saw that his posture was like that of a newcomer and nodded her head in greeting instead.
His coat looked just like hers, white with a black stripe running down to her tail. She looked at him quizzicly and made her first words upon this land. What land are you from fellow white one? Despite her evil legend, she was actually a quite nice wolf. But if you ever did anything to hurt or anger her, you were most likely dead meat. There was only one fight out of a around six or seven that she had lost. Then, the odds were against her.
Her wary eyes rested on his face, her head cocked slightly to the side. Her appearence was something that liked to betray everyone. Beauty was not the only thing you would find in this wolf. Her white coat was not the only thing you would ever see. Inside, her spirit was dark. But just the same, Akki's heart could be softened. Although not very easily. She waited patienly for an answer for the look alike.

((Lol, will do. *salutes*))
Deep brown, almost black orbs turned to face a new wolf, a beautiful wolf of ivory coat. She looked, he noted, like him, but smaller and more feminine in posture and frame of course.
What land do I come from? he asked. It had no name, though it was often referred to Infierno - Hell.
He paused, that was all that would be said about his past place of residence. He was a dark character, though essentially, a bit nice, if you dug deep enough. He was more polite and friendly to faes than brutes, to alphenas than alphas. That was becuase he was a slightly-over competitive wolf at times, and no doubt other brutes would rise to the challange.
The name's Fren, he said, inclining his head in a friendly enough manner, And I seek a pack here. Yourself?
He looked over the gash on her shoulder, the blood on her muzzle and took a step forward in concern.
Hey - you all right?

Akki looked at him quizzicly, but then stopped herself. This wolf probably had some sort of dark and mysterious past. She decided not to ask him about such awefull things. Her lips curled into a smile, but it was not a kind sweet smile. Akki had not smiled since the death of her brother. Although she did smile evily once she murdered her last mate. She licked her stained lips and to her surprise, the male asked if she was okay.
I'm fine. I took down a seemingly sickly deer earlier this morning. It's only a small injury. She said as se looked at the large tear. It wasn't a small injury, it was huge and would probably scar her for life. She hadn't taken down any deer recently, but she thought it best to keep her little slaughter to herself.
Akki looked at Fren's eyes. No one had ever asked for her name before. In fact, few knew what it was. Normally she would have done something like growl, but this wolf didn't know much about her dark soul. She looked at him seriously, but still kindly. Akki. I come to seek shelter from---she stopped, thinking it best not to mention her old pack might be after her. ---from the bitter Winter. I might stay, if all goes well. Actually she was wanting to stay, but she liked to keep to herself. She was a secretive one, never learning to spill the beans to anyone.

He inclined his head gravely and said no more, if she did not wish to evaluate firther then she had no need to. He didn't quite beleive her but that was his problem now wasn't it. He gave the rip in her flesh one last, dubious glance and then left it.
He sat down and yawned, ivories flashing in the half-light. His muscles were tense from the long journey, and he had a few battle-scras himself, some still fresh, from random fights or those who mistook him for one from Guardian Forests.
He gave a small smile that looked more bitter than friendly, he was not accustomed to smiling much, and said, A pleasure to meet you Akki, a bit late but then again you could harly blame him, he was not pleasant and polite by disposition and had more practice killing than being polite.
He cast an exsasperated glance at the shadows surrounding him as he wondered where the alpha was, but then again that was the benefit of being an alpha, you came when you please. Anyhow they were probably off defending themselves against the war or something, which of course was all very right and proper.
A bitter breeze ruffled his thick coat and the cold penetrated it, but he didn't show it, only shuffled his paws a bit and dug his claws into the ground, irritated at he didn't know what.
(("All very right and proper"? Wtf? xD))

((sounds like your wolfie's English o.O -hides Akki in box XD)) Akki smiled her unhappy smile, trying to make herself look more nice. She wiped the blood on her lips away with a swipe from her paw, but the red liquid was still stained onto her. She walked over to Fren, making but a sound. She layed next to him, but far away enough so she didn't seem interested in him. She hated the whole "mates" idea now because of her last one. She quietly let out a small sinister laugh.
Akki layed carefully down, making it so her head was still up in order to catch any sight of the alpha. Her eyes were ever watchful of this new terrain. She curled her tail next to her and let it move up and down like a cat's tail. She placed her nose a bit more vertical and howled a high pitched greeting to whoever this alpha was. It wasn't like a howl of haunting and sorts, it was a greeting. Sounding more cyote than wolf. She growled at her attempted greeting. She despised cyotes, and killed them whenever given the chance.

((Well I'm Scottish but Frenny's just...there )) After Akki had howled, he waited a few seconds and then lifted his own head, a low, chilling howl issuing from his maw. It was a sort of greeting, but it more a sort of cold, formal greeting than a warm, 'hi!' He settled back on his haunches and remained silent, yawning again, impressive teeth showing, demonstrating what damage he could do if he wanted.

Akki perked her ears up as Fren howled an odd greeting, same as she had done. He obviously hadn't noticed her stupified sounding howl. She shrugged it off and sat up to howl again. She sang with him in greeting, but made her voice more low and tryed to make her voice differ from his. It was an easy task. Her point had ment to tell the alpha that she was not in a group with this wolf, but merily there instead.
Akki spotted a small squirrell popping out from its hole. She growled at it, trying to shoo it away from her and leave them in peace, but it wouldn't. Instead it did the stupidest thing possible, and ventured ever closer to Akki. She showed her fangs to it in warning, but then remembered it was a stupid squirrell and bounced up from her spot to grasp it. She grabbed it in her large jaws and shook it quite vigorously in the air, killing it horribly.
Akki walked back to the grass bed she had layed in before with a brown lump set like a puzzle peace in her jaws. She dropped it and sat down, making the previous grass imprint from her disform. The small mammal before her was red with its own blood. Akki tore part of the tiny carcass and gulped it down, then set her head down with her ears still perked up. She growled.

Some wolves might be appauled by that: Killing on whim, not need. But, he didn't really mind. Not as if he wasn't used to it: Him doing it.
I hope you'll leave a bit for me? he teased, not at all intending to eat a bit of the squirrel....as if it was big enough to eat, after Akki had decimated it. He licked his lips at the blood, however, and set off not far for something. It wasn't long before he came upon a rabbit - which promptly froze in exhaustion and fear. It was all over quickly.
He wandered back to Akki, rabbit in jaws, and started eating it, taking chunks out at a time. It was a big rabbit, plenty to eat on it, and he could not understand why a rabbit that size didn't have the stregnth to run. Maybe it was the feel of the land, evil at times. And he liked that.
He had not finished, but gave another howl, mainly because he was bored, to point out that he was still here, and still waiting, even though he wasn't annoyed or impatient towards the alpha.
Lowering his head, he began to eat the huge rabbit once more.
((Wow. That was a crap post if there ever was one. ))

Akki started to growl at Fren when he mentioned sharing her morsel. She was probably the most horrible wolf when it came to sharing. To her, it was a code that if one wanted to share their food, one would simply drop a piece or an entire meal in front of them. Then she realized his 'joke' and went back to eating.
Then Fren had caught a big juicy rabbit and began tearing off chunks of it. Akki would nor wanted to take any part of sharing her or his meal. She raised her head yet again and howled stupidly. She too, was bored out of her mind. That alpha better get here soon. Akki was starting to get restless. If the alpha didn't arrive soon, she would just go off into the lands like your average trespasser and find them herself. She growled a bit to herself at the thought of it.
Her golden eyes seemed like little lanterns shining through the dark forest. It was daytime, but they still shined ever brightly like fires. She looked around, waiting to smell or see or maybe hear the alpha come. She let a deep growl escape her.

Blood, wolves, and the chorus of howls. It all met her senses. She'd been a busy little wench lately, although most of the tasks she half-assed a little bit, like some of the border acceptions. All she'd been doing is inspecting them for traces of Guardian Forest's stench and asking their name. The Alphess was so lost in her world of fighting and bloodshed with the upcoming war, she barely had time to think about normal tasks, tasks that females during this season should be fretting over. It just wasn't in her nature. Maybe, once this was all over, the war, the Alphess would summon all the cadre to a meeting. Maybe though, she often procrastinated on various tasks, saving them for later. Eh, oh well. Right now, it looked and smelled as if she'd have double the new wolves to deal with. The borders had been anything but quiet lately...
A pair of white wolves were there. One eating and one clearly have eaten just moments earlier, for the scent of blood and meat hung loosely in the atmosphere. Had she'd been more hungry, her reactions would've been completely different, but the femme had been getting by on the few stupid rabbits that still hung around here, despite the frigid temperatures. The wolfess began her approach, gait regal and just a steady walk, not bothering to pick it up or hasten it any. She did though, stiffen her hackles just a small amount, prepared to meet anything bad or unwanted on her lands. Typical Alpha stance was assumed, banner lifted and head carried high upon her strong shoulders. Toorima was nothing remotely close to a pushover.
Standing tall, just a few meters from the pair of ivory wolves, she observed them and their movements just before she spoke up. They didn't appear to be waiting for nothing more than a brawl, they were just...average, probably more wolves seeking a life within her growing pack. "Greetings, to the both of you." she said, gaze shifting from wolf to wolf momentarily. "I am Toorima, Alphess of the Yamamori. What brings the two of you here?" she asked, voice normal for her, although it always held a dusting of iciness to it, a lack of trust trailing along with her tones. Trusting a great deal in a wolf made her to wretched things to that being, anyone who dared to tread the deepest confines of her being usually ended up dead. Orin was the last one to suffer a fate such as that. Even now, she really trusted few, Toukon and possibly Rhapsody and Kyler, but that was about it. Hrmm.

He nodded at the alphess' question, of course she would want to know their purpose, to know that they were not part of Guardian Forests or anything of the like. He raised his tail slightly in a formal greeting, giving a small bow before speaking.
I am Fren. he said, standing up to his full height and fixing the Alphess with his icy stare. It wasn't a rude stare for him, actually rather more polite than usual, but it always had a certain cold quality about it, did his stare. He shot one, quick glance at Akki before continuing.
And I come to fight.
No doubt it was not the usual answer that the Alphess got, he could guess that it was normally, 'I come to join'. But it was true. Obviously joining was part of his mission, but a rather minute one in comparison to his main priority. He came to fight, to fight for the Yamamori and against the Guardian Forests.
It was clear he would make a good fighter, given the chance, by his large frame and rippling muscles. He didn't really care for the cause of the war - all he knew was that once he knew it, he would stand up for that cause with all his considerable strength, till the end. Eyes still strong and hard-looking, he waited patiently for a reply.

Akki immediatly saw the alpha approach and adusted herself. She stood tall, but not quite as high as the alphess. Her tail howeveer, showed submission. It was calmly lowered enough so it was visible, but not hidden between her legs. She still had marks of her murdered mate's blood traced on her face, but her entire posture looked like that of a high ranked one. Her head was raised so the alphess could see she was not a mere weakling. Her old pack she had grown up in had been very strict and many times cruel. When she was in the omega position, she learned to stand up for herself and killed many in the process.
Akki tried to hide her deep wound, hardly even noicing the pain anymore. The alphess had spoken and wanted to know WHY she was here. She thought about it while Fren answered her question quickly. I come seeking a pack. Akki heard Fren speak and almost laughed at him. She smiled and shook her head at him, for she thought it quite stupid to say such a thing in front of an alphess.
She slid her tongue over the side of her face trying to wipe away the extra blood that lay stained on her white fur. Akki showed her teeth a bit while she was cleaning her face in frustration and growled even more for growling the first time. She didn't really remember she was standing in front of an alphess until she looked the other direction again and realized her stupid mistake. She stood fast.

First, she quietly watched the male, since he was the one to speak up first. He showed some respect, not falling to the dirt and mewling like some wolves had done before, it was fine. So this Fren wolf came to the Yamamori lands to fight? The brute looked like he could hold his own, judging by his stature anyway. Hopefully, she could take his word for it and just sick him on some Guardian Forest wolves and hope he could hold his own. Maybe a little later on, she'd throw a few lunges his way and just test his worth. "So then Fren, if you come here lookin' for a fight, I assume you to be of the warrior type then. That'll be an asset in the war." she said, kind of looking around a bit. All the wolves she could get her mitts on would be good, any capable wolf could be useful somehow.
Next, the two-toned gaze moved to the other ivory wolf, the female of the pair. These two were rather interesting though. The vixen of the pair stated what she'd guessed, that she was seeking a pack. The ebony femme noted the semi-submission too, just the lowered tail. Although that sort of crap didn't make her overly angry, she always made it a point to see how well they acted at the borders. Slowly, the Alphess moved closer to the white wolves, watching each of them like a hawk. She walked around the male first, looking him up and down like she was surveying a prime piece of meat, noting various things about him as she 'inspected'. Next, she came to the female, doing similar actions. Auds turned towards the white femme as she heard a growl. Moving around to the front of the female, she stood face to face with her, glaring coldly. "Growling huh?" she questioned, voice becoming a little lower than normal, lifting her nose higher than the white wolf's. "You've a problem?" Toorima growled, wondered what the growls from this femme were all about. Strange.
