"Maybe this place is now my home...maybe..." The black faye named Nahani said to herself as she stood on a boulder a fair distance from the beautiful waterfall that gave this place its name. Nahani watched the area with her deep set blue/yellow eyes wondering if anyone was out there. She hesitated at first but then in a single bound, Nahani took off into the woods playfully running about, this place was so beautiful to her and she couldn't wait to see the rest of it. After Nahani had her fun in the deep forests, she came back outside onto the banks of the waterfall and began to take a drink her ears perked up for any slight sound that might come apon her. When she was done with her drink, she layed down at the banks thinking to herself about what kind of wolves she would meet her. Nahani was a very shy wolf at first but with time she could be very trustworthy and loving to all and yet Nahani did have a bad side to her. Hopefully she wouldn't have to show that bad side. Nahani waited paitently for anyone that wanted to meet her, her eyes gazing at her reflection in the water.

(posting out of the want to get involved more..hope we can have more than one thread going.. ;p )
-As of late, this spot had become one of Crescent's favorites. He liked to sit by the water and listen to it roll off the rocks; he liked digging up the earth at the forests' edge to slumber in a small bed of soft, dusty earth. He wandered back there now, his mouth full of rabbit, intending on burying the rest of his catch for later. He stopped when he came into the clearing, though, to spy the sleek ebony wolf sitting in a dewy patch of grass.
He dropped the rabbit, and it landed with a soft thud at his feet. He lwered his head a little, and the hulking male seemed timid.
Timid? He lifted his head and little and started walking towards her slowly...he had gotten so used to solitary life that he had forgotten for a moment the other pack members. Laughing inwardly at his silly behavior, Crescent uttered a soft whuff to get the attention of the dark wolf, so as not to scare her.-

Nahani heard the sound of a young wolf close by. She turned her head to a large sleek grey wolf smiling weakly then she began to make her way towards him. "Hello...you've come to spy on me have you." Nahani smiled at the large wolf..its been so long since she's come across anyone. "The name's Nahani...if you wish to know...what's your's?" The young wolf asked as she took a step backward not sure if she could trust this newcomer. Nahani stared back at him with her deep set eyes not daring to look away from him. Nahani was taught long ago by her pack members not to turn your back away from a stranger because that would be leaving her vunerable to others. "I have come to look for company...I hope that I am welcome here." Nahani spoke to the new wolf, she was getting nervous..it has been long since she met another wolf.

"Welcome here?" Crescent asked, his tail waving more assuredly to this gentle spoken wolf,- "Of course you are welcome here. It is I who hope that I have not intruded," He cautioned a step forward, his muzzle extended towards her. "And no, not spy...merely greeting a fellow pack mate." He let his features become soft, his body relaxing so as not to appear threatening. His paws crunched in the winter's earth, and he lowered his head just slightly.
"My name is Crescent Moon, Nahani." It was a beautiful name -- Nahani -- and he considered it for a moment before moving on..
"I, too, am new here..just arrived very early this morning.." He commented, making the smallest of talk to ease her mind,- "It is very tranquil, the waterfall..I am not surprised it had drawn another."

Nahani smiled at Crescent Moon her white teeth gleaming in the early morning light. "I am honored to be welcomed here and no, you aren't intruding. I am glad to meet another wolf of Yamamori." Nahani added then took a step towards Crescent Moon her elegant body flowed like water rushing through a river. Her attention still hooked on Crescent Moon, she looked back at the waterfall with one of her blue/yellow eyes and then spoke. "Yes..this waterfall is very beautiful. It reminds me of my homeland before my old pack was killed. That is all I remember of them so far." Nahani stated with a small smile forming across her face. This wolf was a pleasure to talk to and he was so kind to her. Nahani was already starting to feel welcomed.

-The wolf to her side was eerily silent. So, her pack had been killed...a sorrowed shadow of what had happened to his family, small as it had been. He remembered AngelWolf and their home in the tundras, and his heart grew heavy.- "We share a common sorrow.." Crescent uttered, softly and silently into the dying light. It was all he would say on the matter. While his den-mother and her pack--the one he had left--were still out there, the one that he had formed after his departure had been snuffed out.
"To go through these trials...do they make one stronger? A more able wolf? For what other purpose could it serve..I do not feel as if I came away with any sort of admirable trait to glance back happily upon."

Nahani looked at Crescent with sad eyes...she could tell there was deep sadness running in his heart at this very moment. "Yes...we do have something painful in common....but maybe its best that we do not speak of it again." Nahani suggested and rested her head against Crescent's shoulder to comfort him. She couldn't stand the thought of her new found friend being miserable. "Hey...come with me...I want to walk with you so that we can talk more. I want you to know more about me and vise versa. It'll be fun." Nahani smiled at him with her tail wagging. She climbed up the banks of the river and ran to the entrance of the forest that linked with this beautiful waterfall. "Come on...let's go." Nahani urged him on and waited for him to make a move.

-The soft press of her fur on his shoulder was a balm upon his heart. It was the first sign of caring affection he had recieved since AngelWolf departed, and Nahani's simple touch brought a rush of emotions to surface. Far too long he'd been without companionship, and by her simple press alone he gained a whirlwind of emotions he had thought long gone.
Inwardly, he agreed. He was turning over a new leaf here, and perhaps it was best not to talk of such things...of despair, and lonliness. It was his past, yes, but a past was something one should learn from, and not suffer.
His cobalt eyes followed her movements as she stood, the cold air pressing at the place her head had been. Her voice was filled with such promise that he could not help but wag his tail happily, starting after her in a trot full of oncoming mirth.- "You know what, that sounds like the best idea I've heard all day" He grinned, hopping a stone or two to reach her.

"I was hoping that you would say that. Let's go you." Nahani said smiling happily and the two ran off into the woods. The two bounded amoungst themselves happy in the woods near the falls, Nahani was laughing happy for the first time in many moons. "Hey Crescent! Bet you can't catch me!" Nahani laughed teasingly at Crescent and ran away in a quick burst of speed, her paws barely touched the ground. Nahani looked like she was flying. Crescent made her feel like a whole new different wolf...her siblings were long gone and her old mate had died in a war against her old pack the Crystal Creek wolves....her old mate's name was Amani. He was so sweet and kind to her like Crescent...it made her smile to be with him. Nahani had never felt happier and she could tell Crescent was very happy as well.

-His tongue lagged freely out his mouth, his paws flew over rock and pebble; loose dirt and puddled mud. The plants brushed past his muzzle, the woods opened up to reveal an endless forest of pine.
He was pursuing Nahani, as she had suggested. She was the smaller, the sleeker and the lighter; so there was no doubt that she had the grace of speed on her side. But Crescent Moon was stronger, bulker--what she gained in speed he would ultimatly gain in endurance.
He cleared falling woodland debris, hearing the sweet-song laugh of Nahani before him. Since her calm greeting of his form she had transformed herself before him; slowly revealing glimpses into the wolves they both had been in days before this. Yet, at the same time, she was a whole new perspective; a whole new beginnings. She was everything he had remembered about packlife, and everything new.
He brushed up against her tail, his muzzle picking gently at the hairs that stuck on end. He had almost caught her and, with a giant leap, he tackled her to the ground where they landed in a heap of woodland moss.

Nahani gazed up at the large wolf Crescent Moon laughing so hard she could barely catch her breath. She was not surprised that he had caught her so soon after all, he was relying souly on endurance no doubt. "Hey Crescent! Get off! You got me! I surrender!" She yelled happily and playfully at him as she began to kick at his chest with her strong back legs. When he did get off however, Nahani pounced him back and they fell to the soft forest ground. Crescent was laying on the ground with Nahani laying beside him.

Out from behind the many trees of the forest, the peering eyes of another wolf watched with interest as the other two wolves played about in the grass and leaves. Fuego watched alittle unsure of whether he should interfere and introduce himself to the other two....wait a minute...the first wolf was now a familier sight...it was Nahani...the wolf he had met earlier that said for him to watch out in case someone bit his head off....Fuego laughed lightly at himself at the fact that she was right...the pack members here were really tense and didn't take shit from anyone. Finally realizing that Fuego had made a new comrad, he stepped out from hiding and let out a loud bark to signal his presence to them trying not to startle them too much.
