Kiba sighed. His heart was splitting, and it coulnd't decide where it wanted to go. But he knew, his soul knew. His heart wanted to go home, yet stay here, but his soultold him other-wise. He felt his heart leaving him, the half that wanted to leave, left. Now, he had an empty hole in his heart, and his soul smiled sorta. It had wanted to stay here, and it won. A heart can't overcome the power of love, but it can hold on to it, and remember just as the mind does.
"I think you already have.." This was true. Kiba had done all he could think of. His tassel curled around near hers tighter, and he let his crainia lift slightly, then drop back down to his forepaws. He was still curled around her protectivly, and he always kept one of his glittering golden eyes on the enterance of the cave, making sure nothing were to enter.
His dirtied (sp?) white fur, now a light gray with specks of brown, shifted as a soft breeze blew into the cave. His pools of soft gold swept over Toorima. Do you want anything, Toorima? Food, poppy seeds for the pain, or anything? If so, I could go get some, or I could stay here with you... he muttered suddenly. He wanted to stay here with her, but if she wanted any of these things, he'd swiftly get them and get back to her as soon as possible.

"Do you want anything, Toorima? Food, poppy seeds for the pain, or anything? If so, I could go get some, or I could stay here with you..." Hmm, she thought for a moment. There really wasn't anything else she needed, some good rest sounded like a good idea. Food really wasn't necessary right now and the wounds were not that bad yet. "Eh, I don't think so, just stay here. The wounds really aren't hurting anymore." It was true most had managed to close themselves up and were beginning to scab up. Hopefully it would all heal nicely in time and nothing would get infected or anything annoying such as that. Really, she just preferred it if he just stayed here. Toorima didn't plan on sleeping here or anything, but a nice little rest, just laying there, would do quite a bit of good.
"I just hope this," she said, shifting her shoulder slightly, motioning towards it with her snout, " heals up nice. I think it should if I stay off it, its just not very pleasing to the eyes." the femme added, looking at it, the fur torn away and flesh exposed, all bloodied and still oozing slightly. Gross. It was what worried her to most, as far as the 'injuries' went atleast. When muscles and tendons were shredded like that, it usually didn't heal up too quickly, and sometimes, the part that worried her the most, was it healing wrong. That would be almost more miserable, having a front limb that didn't even function correctly. Just the "staying off of it" bothered her a bit. She wasn't exactly one to just lie around and wait to heal. Well, maybe for a few days but if it wasn't healed by then, she'd get stir-crazy or something and go out gallivanting. Eep.

"Eh, I don't think so, just stay here. The wounds really aren't hurting anymore." He kinda smiled. Well that's good... he murmered."I just hope this, heals up nice. I think it should if I stay off it, its just not very pleasing to the eyes." Yes, but knowing you, you wouldn't do that now would you?! he laughed, knowing her spunky...er maybe she wasn't so spunky anymore...
His auds flickered forward, then back, then repeated this for a bit. Something else was in here with them...He snarled, but an orange and white figure shot out from the back of the cave, spitting and snarling as well. Fox. But as Kiba rose, and let his fur unruffle and get all puffy to make him look twice his size, the fox lowered its ears and shot through the mouth of the cave, and off into the woods. The white brute lowered his body and curled around Toorima once more. Foxes are so stupid... he snarled to himself, and got comfortable once more.

"Well that's good..." Kiba said, and Toorima nodded slowly, looking at her paws and the cave floor. "Yes, but knowing you, you wouldn't do that now would you?!" She laughed a bit too, "Yeah, think I'd learn, but of course not, that'd just be too easy." she said, a wry smile finding a way onto her features. Although she had calmed down a great deal from her earlier years, that same stubborn flame just wouldn't smolder away to nothing.
When Kiba snarled, she was brought to full attention. What? She listened for anything, unsure of what it could be. When the figure of a fox went bolting by, she almost scrambled to her feet in surprise, but instead just sat up tall and alert. At first, she thought it was Ki, the other fox she had met here, but realized it wasn't when it snarled instead of annoyed, she knew it couldn't have been him. Kiba was up and snarling as well, so all the femme did was curl her lips back and growl a little bit. When it scampered off, she laid back down, heaving a sigh as she did so. "Foxes are so stupid..." Toorima shifted herself back to her more comfortable position. "I met one in the packlands a while ago named Ki. He was strange to say the very least." she said quietly, having been reminded of him by the other one that just scrambled by.

OoC ~ -poke Rappie-
Bic ~ "Yeah, think I'd learn, but of course not, that'd just be too easy." Kiba smiled some. This was true, for Toorima was always up an about...well she was...and hopefully still was.Kiba only hoped she'd be the same after all this was over with, after the pups were born and all. He could only hope that she was still the same as always. Hope, he clinged to it. Yeah... he muttered, and turned towards the cave mouth, where the fox had scrambled away.
But as Toorima said something, he swiftly turned back to her, auds swiveled forward. "I met one in the packlands a while ago named Ki. He was strange to say the very least." So, Toorima had met a fox...Ki? Odd, I never knew foxes would communicate with us...although, you did say he was strange... Kiba muttered, and laughed bit. Foxes, in his homelands, never really wanted to have anything to do with the wolves.
Toorima, you can sleep, if you want. I'm here, to shoo anything away, so say, the fox... He said, and smiled. She wanted sleep, not just needed it. He could see it. He gave her shoulder a quick glance. It's healing too slow...It'll never scab in this weather, she needs something to help it, come sort of catalyst. Cobwebs...we could try those... Kiba suddenly got up, and started sniffing around the cave untill his black, leathry nose was all caught up in some sticy material. He sneezed, and stepped back some, covering his nasels with his right paw as he sneezed. He lifted his paw and wrapped the cobwebs around his paw. Then, he turned and padded back over to Toorima. If you want some cobwebs to stop the oozing and stuff on your shoulder, ask. I could apply it or you could... he said, laying back down and curling protectly around her once more.

=O *is sat on* X3
"Ki? Odd, I never knew foxes would communicate with us...although, you did say he was strange..." She nodded slightly. Ki had been very interesting, and she wondered if he was still around here. It had been a while since she'd last seen him. "He was quite bold to approach me like he did.." Toorima said quietly, recalling her encounter with the little reddish-orange creature. She sighed again, moving her head around slightly on her paws.
She found herself starting to doze off, and when Kiba said "Toorima, you can sleep, if you want. I'm here, to shoo anything away, so say, the fox...", it was very inviting. The fatale nodded, barely even noticing that Kiba had gotten up and moved across the cave until she heard him sneeze. What was he up to? Toorima didn't worry too much though. "If you want some cobwebs to stop the oozing and stuff on your shoulder, ask. I could apply it or you could... " She sort of nodded, half asleep by this time.
"Uh sure, if you want to.." she mumbled. He could if he really wanted to touch that nasty looking thing. She really wasn't used to healing techniques and adding things to wounds like this. Before, if she was hurt, she just let it heal all on its own, having learned that way back at the homelands. First, that little Native American boy, now Kiba was offering to apply stuff to her injuries. Soon, not worried about Kiba or anything, she fell asleep before he could even dress her wounds or anything. Maybe that would be for the better...

"He was quite bold to approach me like he did.." Kiba nodded. He was not used to communicating with foxes, yet have on approach him. Foxed didn't really bother him, but if they came from nowhere spitting and growling, then they were being little, annoying pests.
The white brute noticed how tired she really looked. He knew she was exhausted (sp?) and tired form this long day. Everything that had happen to her was wrose than any others. That ugly ass brute had forcebred her, and that's what pissed Kiba off most. But he knew Rhapsody would be the first to confront Dhjeron one on one before any other wolf could blink.
"Uh sure, if you want to.." He turned to her. Her voice was faint, and he knew she was very close to falling asleep. As her chest rose slower and in a battered pattern, he knew she was asleep. Sleep well... he whispered, and moved to her should. As he loked at it, he lifted his paw and stared to unravel the cobwebs. He gently placed them on the oozing, disgusting wound. But no matter what Toorima looked like, he's be there.
As the layers of cobwebs covered the wound from sight, Kiba got up again. He sniffed around the cave once more, untill he found a strange looking leaf. It was of a featherlike matieral. He gently picked it up in his powerful jaw and carried it back over to his little 'work station'. Thes soft thud of his mits echoed soothingly around the cave. As he layed back down, he took the leaf and began to rub off the oozy gross liquid around the wound and on her leg where it had dripped, matting her fur. It came off easily with this leaf, and because of the texture, it woulnd't wake or hurt her.
Once the shoulder was done and cleaned, Kiba inspected her other wounds. The only one he knew he could not fix right then and there was something only one brute could reach. The Heart. You can't reacht his physically, well, you could, but you could heal it in time with love and compassion. Other than the heart, her other wounds were coming along great. He applied cobwebs to some that were still oozing and wiped away the substance around them as well.
Once done with all that stuff, he curled back around her, head up. His auds were perked and his pools of alert gold glittered through the fading sunlight. The rays were reaching through the trees, blanketing this part of the world with their beauty. The moon had already risen, but was faint and dull. The sun had not finished brushing and grooming the lands yet with the powerful beams it let loose, but it too soon crept beneath the horizon and went off to sleep.
Now a blanket of black covered the sky. The moon was very bright, and the cluds were few. The stars danced amung the sky. The only animals that had entered the cave for the time passing were some mice, a little family of mice. A lost bat fluttered into the cave, but as it found none of it;s firend there, it left. The whole time, Kiba had gaurded Toorima, watching all the things, even the little inch worm that slowly inched past him, with carefull golden orbs.

She was out. For a while, it was a primarily dreamless slumber, the first half was anyway. Her mind was too tired to even bother to dream. Toorima had fallen asleep before Kiba had dressed her injuries, so she was oblivious to what he was doing. It really didn't matter though, it had been quite some time since she had really slept like, this deep before. Lately, it had just been quick little catnaps. Eh, it only contributed to her death like sleep now.
Toorima awoke for a little while, more like a couple of seconds. All she did was shift herself around a little bit. Again, she was out, but this time, her sleep was accompanied by a few dreams. Nothing special, just run of the mill dreams. In one of them, she recalled her days long since passed with Orin, before he turned into a monster. She had been so young and naive at the time, so stupid. It all went downhill before Akisu had been born. Toorima had almost lost everything then, including her life, and only barely pulling through with that. Maybe that was what she feared the most, last time, she didn't have a whole lot to lose, but it was different now. There was a whole pack of wolves who she was supposed to lead, supposed to set examples for.
Maybe this wasn't what she was cut out for. Maybe it was, but it was times like this that made her doubt it. True, she was supposed to just die of illness at a young age due to lacking size then. Ulrich had even commanded that she not be named, but her mother, Jorine, insisted otherwise, of course, that being before she too went insane and tossed herself off a cliff, bringing about her end. Instead, Toorima the pup turned it around and made something, sort of, of what was deemed to be nothing by her sire. Kyuushi, her brother, was the one who was supposed to be everything there was and then some. Perfection. Was he even alive anymore? Maybe, maybe not. Sinistra, her half sister was alive, alive and here. It was probably a surprise to the both of them that the Phantom Thief had made it this long.
Finally, she stirred, slowly blinking her two different shaded eyes open, immediately looking out the cave entrance to try and figure out how long she had slept. It was almost completely dark out by now, the sun's reign for the day coming to a close. She yawned then looked over at Kiba. He had stayed here the whole time. Seeing him made the femme think of her wounds. She took a quick glance at her shoulder, seeing that he had dressed it all up for her. "Eh, thanks." she said, still working on waking up.

Kiba had watched as day turned to sunset, sunset turned ot night. As Toorima woke the first time, and shifted, Kiba's auds perked forward. Yet only to rest in a comfrotable perked, alert way as she fell back alseep. Her steadied breathing was a sign of imporvmant. There was nothing wrong with ehr lungs, Kiba could tell, for her chest would rise evenly.
Thoughts had risen in him. Ones of his past, when his mother and father were killed by an enemy...hate. Kiba remember when his mother was pushed form the largest cliff, a mountain like towering cliff, in his homelands. The little white pup watched as his mother free-fell to her death, her fur rippling in the crisp mid-day air, her tassel waving behind her wildly. The sharp spikes below the cliff peirced through his mother's flesh and bones. The little white bundle of fluff scampered over to the bloodied body. "Mama?!" he screamed. "Kiba...I...Love you..." her last words were faint as her body went limp and cold. On the cliff stood a brute, laughing. "Papa..." he wimpered. To this day he wondered why his father pushed his mother form the threating edge of that cliff. His little golden orbs will never forget how his mother was killed off when he was only but under a spring old.
His father died a different way, most likely more pleasant than his mother. A terrible sickness swept through the pack. All the members survived, 'cept his father, in which the Medicine Wolf never treated. His father was an old, murderous bag whom would die of old age anyway. He went peacfully in his sleep one cold, foggy and rainy night. Though, when it rained on foggy nights, Kiba would get a chill, as if his father's spirit never left the world.
But as she awoke the second time, his golden pools of hopeless despair turned to ones of joy as she spoke. "Eh, thanks." Kiba smiled. No problem. Anytime, he smirked, loosing the memories that had flooded into his mind. But he will never forget the way his mother was murdered...not the terrible way she died, at her son's paws. He shook his head, and smiled towards Toorima again.

ick. ._.
Toorima watched Kiba still, he seemed to be remembering something, something painful. Maybe she was just imagining it, but then again, maybe not. But, either way, she did not comment on it or anything, just sat their silently. If it had been an unpleasant memory, it would be quite a bit rude to ask him to speak of it. Again, the black female yawned, shaking her head slightly too, letting her jaws fall close, making a click noise.
Reality was beginning to return, she had become aware of her injuries and aches again. It wasn't the burning sensation of a fresh wound anymore, just the nagging ache that accompanied all major injuries. Guess she'd get over it all in good time. "No problem. Anytime," She smiled and started to get up, her motives to stretch a bit. Toorima awkwardly managed the feat of standing and sliding her front feet out in front of her the best she could.
She sat down again, curling her tail around her haunch, licking Kiba gently on the face in thanks for sitting there while she slept. Really, she had no idea how long she was out, but it really didn't matter that much so she didn't fret over it. He wasn't complaining so the raven hued femme wasn't going to worry. "I guess I probably should go..." she said, flickering her ears around. "Go and make sure the pack hasn't been massacred or anything, make sure the boundaries are still intact too...." she continued, scoffing slightly through the tones.

BiC ~ "I guess I probably should go..." Kiba's auds dropped as he stood as well, swiftly jumping to her hurt side if she were to fall. Alrighty. If that wound bothers you, Toorima, call me okay? Try not to rub on it too much, the medicine I applied will rub off, He said, and gave off a intelligant(sp?) smile.
"Go and make sure the pack hasn't been massacred or anything, make sure the boundaries are still intact too...." He sighed, but nodded. Yes, Toorima. I will, he said, forcing a sweet smiling ot play on his featrues. And Toorima, if there is anything at all you need to talk about, or anything you need or want or something, call alright? Promise me you will. Yeh, this is going to be a mess of a post. Its been so cold and windy here I feel like hibernating and not moving for a few months ;-;
"Alrighty. If that wound bothers you, Toorima, call me okay? Try not to rub on it too much, the medicine I applied will rub off," She nodded, making a note to do her best to heed his words of advice. Really, all she had to do was not..fall or rub into anything and it should be fine.
"Yes, Toorima. I will," The black femme smiled slightly too, feeling a bit refreshed after sleeping but still sore. It would do. She could go prowl along the more Northern boundaries and Kiba here could slink through another area, which really didn't matter, just another one of them. It would get a time-consuming task done in half the time, plus, less awkward walking for her. "And Toorima, if there is anything at all you need to talk about, or anything you need or want or something, call alright? Promise me you will. I hate to see you when you're down...such a beautiful alphess shouldn't look that way, and needs something to cheer her up...so say some tap dancing squirrels " She listened to him contentedly, ears tipped towards him, also laughing a bit at the end. Heh, squirrels.
"I'll just howl or something if I need anything." Toorima said, moving slowly towards the cave's entrance. Once there, she just stood there for a moment, balancing on three feet. She heaved a sigh and set off.

OoC ~ I've decided for his whole post to be gray, not just him speaking ok ^.^;;; ... Because everybody has a colour ¶.¶ -feels like an outcast-
BiC ~ He nodded. "I'll just howl or something if I need anything." Kiba smiled as she agreed to howl or something if she needed anything. This made him feel usefull, unlike the peice of crap he felt like a few hours ago. Right then, bye, Toorima. he said, and as they both set off different ways, he kinda gave a relived sigh, to know she was up and about again. He headed towards the borders to do his patroll.
